East Alligator Ranger Station
Project Name: East Alligator Ranger Station
Client: Parks Australia
Location: Kakadu, NT
Date: March 2023
The D&P Team has been working alongside PTM Group and Parks Australia in delivering an important project within the Kakadu National Park.
The reason behind the importance of the rebuild of the East Alligator Ranger Station is due to major bush fires affecting the area and the site suffering various degrees of fire damage to both buildings and equipment.
The facility is an essential part of the Kakadu National Park support facilities and it has been a pleasure thus far in taking part in the project.
The upgrading works herein combine the replacement and repair of fire damaged infrastructure, general upgrading of facilities to meet current building standards, alterations to better reflect current operational requirements and general overall reduction, general elimination and/or mitigation of WHS issues identified.
The extent of works is generally limited to the main operations compound area and the replacement of the separate temporary workers accommodation facilities southwest of the main compound.
